There is no shortage of restaurants in Fremont. Whether you're looking for a fast food outlet, a cozy family restaurant, relaxing coffeehouse, quick sandwich shop or an elegant fine dining establishment, Fremont can meet your needs.
Local restaurants and cafes offer a meal to suit every appetite and budget. Cuisine choices range from simple to exotic fare - Afghan, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Mediterranean, Mexican, Vietnamese, Thai and many other ethnic flavors, as well as plain old American-style barbecue, buffet and deli. Hungry diners can also find steaks, seafood, tacos, pasta, pizza, ribs, and good old-fashioned hot dogs and burgers. From soups to subs to desserts, Fremont is waiting to serve you. |

Shopping in Fremont is plentiful and convenient. Whether buyers are looking for everyday necessities or a unique boutique gift, there are many places to browse. The Fremont Hub shopping center includes, among others, national anchors such as OfficeMax and Safeway. New shops at Washington West located at the southeast corner of Mowry Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway adjacent to Washington Hospital and Gateway Plaza, offer the Flower Shop, Sprint, Peet's Coffee & Tea, Panera Bread, and Strizzi's Restaurant. More retail stores at Pacific Commons, a large retail center located at the intersection of Interstate 880 and Auto Mall Parkway include DSW, Office Depot, Lowe's, Basset Furniture, Costco, and others.
The City of Fremont also has plans to develop a pedestrian-friendly Main Street/Lifestyle center, to be located just one-half block from the corner of Fremont Boulevard and Mowry Avenue, the traditional "crossroads" of Fremont and the heart of downtown.
